Choose your hotel-to-Sphere approach
These are planning approaches, not timed or personally walked routes. The map links open current walking directions to The Venetian; use its official resort map and event signs for the final indoor approach to Sphere.

From The Venetian: find the Expo and Sphere signs
Use the resort map to find Restaurant Row and the Convention & Expo Center entrance marked for the bridge to Sphere. Start from your actual lobby or tower rather than assuming every suite exits at the same point. Check the bridge approach with staff and follow the entry instructions for your event; a restaurant or casino route is not an admission entitlement.
From The Palazzo: allow for the walk within the resort
The Palazzo and Venetian share a mapped resort complex, but your tower is not the Sphere entry queue. Locate yourself on the official map, then follow signs towards the Convention & Expo Center and Sphere connection. If you are uncertain, ask staff for the event entrance before following a crowd. Include the walk from your room and the lifts in your departure plan.
From The LINQ: choose a clear pedestrian approach
One practical plan is to walk to The Venetian using the current pedestrian directions, then use the signed venue approach. The map link above covers the first part; the resort map covers the indoor part. Do not treat the visually shortest line towards Sphere as a shortcut through service areas or assume every road crossing is at street level.
From Bellagio: compare the whole walk with a car
Use current walking directions from your chosen Bellagio exit to The Venetian to judge the distance and crossings. The route then still includes the resort and final venue approach. In heat, with luggage or when mobility is limited, compare that effort with a taxi or rideshare to Sphere’s designated drop-off. A car journey estimate also needs a buffer for pickup, traffic and reaching the entry queue.
Step-free access and the Venetian bridge approach
Sphere’s standard-admission directions mention a bridge stairway. Do not assume that this describes an appropriate step-free route for your party. Contact Sphere Accessibility Services for the right entrance and approach, and ask your hotel about the route out of your tower. A hotel being connected to the venue does not settle every accessibility question.
Arriving by rideshare instead
Sphere identifies Manhattan Street and Westchester Drive as its rideshare pickup and drop-off area. Use the current app pin and staff directions on the day. A street address alone can put the driver on the wrong side of a large venue; check the event instructions before setting the destination.
How much time should you allow?
Build your own door-to-seat allowance: room to hotel exit, the mapped journey, venue approach and entry checks. For Wizard of Oz, doors open 45 minutes before the ticketed start and late seating is not permitted. Use that arrival window as your target, then add the journey and a personal buffer. We have not measured these hotel routes and do not publish an invented walking-time guarantee.
Returning to your hotel after Sphere
Follow the exit route offered for your event rather than assuming the same bridge stays available for the return. For a car, reach the designated pickup area and check the app instructions before requesting it. For walking, save your hotel destination and inspect the pedestrian route before leaving; keep enough phone battery for tickets and the return journey.
A practical pre-show dinner decision
For Venetian or Palazzo guests, eating within the resort can reduce the number of separate journeys. From LINQ or Bellagio, decide whether to eat near your hotel before travelling or move towards the venue first. A nearby restaurant booking still needs time to settle the bill, reach the correct entrance and pass security.
